  1. kandle

this is kandle – our timely introduction (in this life, anyway) happened in october of 2010, during my first month tending the juicebar at our yuppie-concentrated restaurant.

when i first spoke with her, i remember thinking ‘this girl seems pretty tough.’  she managed to subvert this impression only a few hours later by pairing an incorrect phone number (convinced it was her own) on a slip of paper with a comically suggestive sketch.  from then on, i understood kandle to somehow be a mellow little punk with a dorky rock & roll swagger.  she has too many endearing contradictions.

if ever there was a rare gem of an individual, to me, kandle is that gem.  she has to be one of the most affable people i have yet to meet, but is in some way able to correctly interpret my sarcasm ninety-five percent of the time.  she genuinely understands the intentions behind my actions, and shares my strong affinity for nineties pop music.  she’s unpretentiously eclectic, and is still an honest-to-goodness good person.  suffice it to say that i can’t explain exactly how i know kandle is a good person – i just do.
